Ganago Assists As Nantes Avoid Embarrassing Defeat Against Clermont Foot

After a very unexciting first half, FC Nantes got perked back. The Canaries, now 16th in Ligue 1, conceded the opener before equalizing in the last 20 minutes thanks to Mostafa Mohamed (1-1), from Ganago’s assist.

Trailing at the start of the second half, Antoine Kombouaré’s men were able to equalize thanks to a goal from Mostafa Mohamed in the 73rd minute.

The draw however, does not do any favors to FC Nantes or Clermont Foot.

Ganago was in the thick of the action. He helped Nantes back to the contest, by offering an excellent ball to Mostafa Mohamed who only had to finish in front of goal.

The forward nearly got a goal for himself with a header at the 57th minute, but it was kept out by goalkeeper Diaw’s superb reflex save.

The assist was Ganago’s second, coupled with his 3 goals in 12 appearances.
