Just like Cameroon,  Senegal are equally preparing for the play-offs.

This is not going to be their  first meeting this year. In June 2022, the Indomitable Lionesses and those of the Terranga faced off in preparations to the Women’s AFCON in Morocco.

The two meetings were in  Douala on June 15 and 18. In the first leg, the two teams were shared the spoils (2-2), while in the second,  Cameroon won 1-0.

These two teams however went on to agonizingly miss out on  the qualification for the world during at the Women’s AFCON.  Now, another chance presents itself to be amongst the world’s elite teams.

Cameroon is placed in group A of the playoffs, made up of Portugal  and Thailand. Senegal is lodged in Group b, along with Chile and Haiti. The playoffs is penciled for February 17, 2023 in New Zealand.
