CAF Women’s CL: Simba Queens See Off Determine Girls

Simba Queens FC bounced back to secure a 2-0 win in the CAF Women’s Champions League, on match day 2.

It was Wednesday night against Determine Girls FC. The Tanzanian club lost their first game of the African competition against AS FAR, but made up for it in their second outing in group A. Facing the Liberian team, it took until the second half to break the dead luck. The first goal came in the 53rd minute at Prince Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat, when Opa Clement opened the scoring.

It was later by Olaiya Barakat (70th), who converted from the penalty spot.

Third, with 3 points tied with the Green Buffaloes (second), the Tanzanians can still qualify in the last match of Group A. The Determine Girls are eliminated before the last game, after their second defeat in a row. The Liberians must try again next season with better performances.
