CAF Women’s CL: Bayelsa Queens Defeat Wadi For Historic Semis Spot

Bayelsa Queens have trashed Wadi Degla 3-0 in their last CAF Women’s Champions League Group B game to finish second and book a place in the semis against ASFAR Club.

The Nigerian side reached their first-ever semi-final in the CAF Women’s Champions League following a 3-0 victory over Wadi Degla at the Stade Prince Heritier in Morocco.

The Prosperity Girls who entered the last Group B with one win from two games knew a win in the last game would push them into the last four and they got the needed victory.

Second half brace from Mercy Itimi and a first-half strike from Juliet Sunday ensured the win and a place in the semifinal in their first time at the tournament.
