Qatar 2022: Choupo Moting Reassures Fans

Cameroon’s hottest – property at the ongoing World Cup – Eric Maxim Choupo Moting has reassured fans of the Indomitable Lions of his commitment to prolly his last tournament with the team.

The Bayern megastar has been on the lips of Indomitable Lions fans and hopefuls courtesy of his trailblazing form prior to the World Cup.

On target against Panama last week in Cameroon’s last warm up game, Choupo has promised to give his best when the ball is set rolling in group G.

‘It is normal that expectations are high. Personally i will give my best because i know i can help the team but to be successful we have to do it together and I believe in us because we have quality, we have to show it on the pitch,’ the Ex Stoke city man stated after the team’s training session on Tuesday.

Choupo is fresh from winning his club’s player of the Month of October with Bayern Munich and it was well and truly deserved!

He produced one starring display after the other in October, and that’s now been recognised by the FC Bayern fans, who chosed the 33-year-old striker as their Player of the Month. Choupo-Moting received a whopping 75 percent of the votes, with closest challenger Jamal Musiala – who’d won the award three months running – receiving 10 percent.

After the glitz at club level it is time for the national team – where Choupo Moting has found the net 19 times from 69 games played. Given his current form, Choupo cannot be left out of the starting XI given his recent statistics even if coach Rigobert Song had other ideas.
