Qatar 2022: Richarlison’s Brace Set The Samba Boys On Their Way

A second half tap-in, and then a spectacular left footed control before a superb right foot bicycle kick by Richarlison was enough to break down a stubborn Serbian side.

Brazil’s forward Richarlison scored his team’s first and second goals in the Qatar 2022 World Cup Group G match against Serbia at the Lusail Stadium in Lusail, north of Doha on Novembe 24.

Tournament fancies Brazil forced the Serbian lock open thanks to a double from Richarlison as the Seleçao won 2-0 in their first game of the competition on Thursday.

The team with five World Cup trophies met a strong Serbian resistance for a long time but ended up finding a solution in the 62nd minute – when Richarlison scored on a rebound from Vinicius’ strike initially repelled by Serbian goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic.

The Tottenham striker later doubled the lead with an acrobatic bicycle kick in the 73rd minute, which many pundits have named the best goal of the World Cup so far.

Brazil will now have the opportunity to qualify for the round of 16 of the tournament on Monday if they beat Switzerland who won 1-0 against Cameroon on Thursday.
