World Cup Star Ngom Absent, As Renard Match Colombe Stride-For-Stride

Without their World Cup star Ngom Mbeleki, Colombe shared spoils against Stade Renard at the Omnisport stadium on match day 8 in group A.

The men of coach Anicet Mbarga Foe lacked a tooth to sink down the thick skin of Stade Renard who were well organized from defence to attack.

Colombe, who came to the game off a defeat in the hands of closest competitors UMS, are now winless in their last two.

What that means for the South side is that the gap at the top has been narrowed only to two points.

For Stade Renard it was a point won rather than a point lost from the lads of coach Olivier Nankam. Only 3 points separates Stade Renard who are placed 4th, and first-placed Colombe.

Up next for Colombe is a game against Renaissance who are from a defeat against Djiko FC themselves.

Stade Renard pits Aigle off the back of a one-all draw against Cotonsport of Garoua on match day 8. The next round of fixtures will be played on the Saturday 24.
