PWD On A Stinker After Points Dropped Against Canon

After having represented the country in the CAF Confederations cup, PWD have been able to pick up just two wins from 9 games in the MTN Elite One championship so far.

Led by Interim coach Alain Roger Nseme, the Abakwa Boys could not change their fortunes against Canon of Yaounde, at the Omnisport stadium in Yaounde.

In fact, PWD escaped the contest unscathed as Canon had chances to kill the game but the men of Jean Baptiste Bisseck squandered in front of goal.

Things do not get better for PWD who face ‘wounded’ Cotonsport next. Cotonsport are winless in their last 3 games in the championship.

PWD’s last win came on match day 6 when they mauled Aigle 3-0 at the Bamendzi stadium. That now seems a long time ago.

The 2020 Elite One champions are 10th in the 11-team group A with 7 points. Canon are placed comfortable on the other side of the table (4th) with 13 points.
