Landry Nguemo Appointed Coach Of AS Nancy

Retired Cameroonian international Landry Nguemo is the new assistant coach of AS Nancy Lorraine.

The National 1 club has found the replacement for Jamal Alioui, who left at the end of November – from the FC Versailles dugout. Coach Albert Cartier, ASNL’s head coach, preferred to trust a former member of the team and it was Landry Nguemo, an erstwhile midfielder of Saint-Etienne, Bordeaux and of course, AS Nancy.

Aged 37, the former Cameroonian international has therefore taken a new step in his coaching career. The details of his contract has not been communicated.

Former boss of the U-18 of C.O.S Villers-Lès-Nancy which plays in Regional 1, he equally took charge of AS Nancy’s U16 team, before his latest appointment.

Mguemo is present in Cameroon during and will therefore return to the club on Friday, when Nancy takes on Martigues.

N’Guémo made 42 appearances for Cameroon, scoring 3 times. He was runner-up at the 2008 AFCON, and played the 2014 World Cup.
