CHAN 2022: Danlad In, But Daniel Afriyie Could Miss Out Despite Inclusion In Annor’s 28-Man Squad

Asante Kotoko’s glove-man Ibrahim Danlad will lead coach Annor Walker’s list of 28 to Algeria for the 2023 African Nations Championship.

Danlad was one of two local players listed by Otto Addo in the Black Stars’ squad for the 2022 Qatar World Cup late last year.

There is however some controversy over the inclusion of erstwhile Hearts of Oak forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, who has been transferred to Swiss club FC Zurich. He, however, could take part in the tournament finals, if, at the time of registration, the youngster was inked-in as a player of Hearts.
