Boris Enow Wins First Trophy With Maccabi Netanya

Having arrived at Maccabi Netanya in 2021 from RC Lens’ reserve team, Boris lifted his first trophy with Israel.

It was after Maccabi Netanya defeated
Hapoel Hadera on penalties (0-0, 5-4) in the semi-final of Israel’s Toto Cup, on Wednesday with the Cameroonian international on the bench.

In a jam-packed Hamoshava Stadium in Petah Tikva, the two teams were not able to decide a winner after 90 minutes.

On the bench at the start of the match, the former player of Ecole de Football Brasseries of Cameroon entered in the 82nd minute. It was however an entry into play without much consequence.

After a goalless draw (0-0) it was therefore during the fateful penalty shootout that Maccabi Netanya won the day.

Boris Enow and his teammates won (5-4), thus winning their first trophy since the 2016/2017 season where they were crowned champions of the second second-tier in Israel.

At the end of this season, the former winner of the Youth Champions League with FC Porto in 2019 could extend his stay in Israel.

This season, he has already played 20 matches in all competitions and could be an element on which Guy Feutchine could rely during the next matches of the Indomitable Lions U23.
