Macky Bagnack Joins Nizhniy Novgorod On Loan

Macky Bagnack, 27, is on loan from Kairat Almaty to Russian club Nizhny Novgorod until the end of the season with an option to buy.

The central defender will now play in the Russian top-flight for FC Pari Nizhny Novgorod, placed 12th in the Russian championship, with 19 points out of 17 games.

Having graduated from La Masia, Bagnack has gone on to play for NK Olimpija, Partizan and Kairat Almaty amid others. The 1.87 meter defender played 23 games in the preliminaries of the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League with Almaty.

The latter’s talent was spotted in cameroon before he joined the Barcelona youth set-up in 2008 from the Samuel Eto’o Foundation.

Having proven himself in the youth teams, Bagnack moved to Barcelona B, where he played in 2012-2016.

He then became a journeyman, going ahead to play for FC Nantes (France), Real ZaragozaY (Zaragoza, Spain), Admira Wacker (Mödling, Austria), Olimpia (Ljubljana, Slovenia), Partizan (Belgrade, Serbia), “Kairat” (Almaty, Kazakhstan).

Bagnack Joins Cameroonian internationals Njie Clinton of Lokomotiv Moscow and Moumi Ngamaleu currently plying for Dynamo Moscow.
