Amputee Lion Elvis Nkam Found Dead In Turkey

It has now been confirmed that the wave of earthquake that hit Turkey since last Monday killed 28-year-old Amputee Lion, Elvis Nkam.

The Cameroonian amputee footballer who was missing since the beginning of the drama was found dead on Thursday February 9, as announced by the Cameroon Amputee Football Federation: “The Cameroon Amputee Football Federation regrets to announce the death of Nkam Elvis” the statement reads.

A player of Matalya Amputee Football Club was was in camp with his teammates in a hotel in the southern Turkey city and they were preparing for their championship match before the worst happened.

The erstwhile player of Abakwa Boys AFC of Bamenda, was found under the rubble of the said hotel on Thursday.

Best player in the Cameroonian Football League for Amputees in 2021, Elvis Nkam is the first Cameroonian sportsman declared dead in Turkey following this natural disaster which has already claimed the lives of more than 15,000 people.
