Raja Start CAF CL Campaign With Resounding 5-0 Win Over Vipers

Raja of Casablanca beat Ugandan side Vipers Sports Club 5-0 on Friday in Casablanca, in an opening group C match counting for the first day of the TotalEnergies CAF champions league.

The match was played without audience, and was a stroll in the park for the Moroccan club who opened the scoring in the 5th minute of the game through striker Hamza Khabba before Jamal Harkas doubled the lead six minutes later.

Raja continued to culminate attacks in the 38th minute of the game with a fine goal by Mohamed Zrida, which allowed his team to end the first period with 3-0 score.

Back from the locker room, the complexion of the game was indifferent. Raja took advantage of the naivety of Vipers in defense. In the 59th minute, striker Yousri Bouzouk scored the 4th goal before his teammate Roger Aholou (71st) ended the festival of goals with a well-placed shot that gave Mudekereza no chance.

On match day 2 in group C, Raja of Casablanca will travel to Tanzania to face Simba.
