CAF Club Competitions: President Seidou Mbombo Njoya Buys Time

CAF has reportedly given Cameroon more time to present the two clubs that will be representing the country in next football calendar – year’s continental competitions (CAF Confederation Cup & Champions League).

The Director of communication at FECAFOOT – Parfait Siki, made the revelation earlier this morning on Radio Sports Infos.

Read Parfait Siki;

‘The president of FECAFOOT presented a request/plea for more time to be given for Cameroon to submit teams to represent the country in CAF club competitions. The request was accepted and the date has been extended to August 8.’ Parfait ended.

The Cameroon Elite One and Two championships are on an unprecedented halt of more than a month without action. The Championship is however set to begin next weekend, if club presidents receive their 560 million promised to them, by the Government through the Minister of sports.

CAF initially set as deadline; June 30, but moved her deadline to July 30, for all and sundry. However, FECAFOOT President Seidou Mbobo Njoya, who doubles as the fourth vice president of CAF, has seemingly bought more time.
