CAF CC: FAR Come From Behind To Maul Asko 5-1

A week after their draw against Futur FC, Kara ASKO couldn’t escape the clutch of FAR Rabat on Sunday. On the road to the Morocco in the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup, the Togolese club lost heavily (5-1).

It was the visitors who opened the scoring in the 16th minute through Harissou Ouro-Bodi. However, FAR Rabat managed to equalise before half-time through Mohamed Hrimat at the 39th minute.

On returning from the locker room, the Moroccans launched an attack on their Togolese opponents and had a chain of goals. Ahmed Hamoudan let FAR take the lead in the 50th minute, and then goals from Hamza Igman (63rd) and Mustapha Sahd (67th) made it 4-1 for the hosts.

In additional time, Zakaria Fati (90 + 2) sank ASKO a little more with a fifth strike.

This victory means FAR takes the lead in group C, since a little earlier, Pyramids and Futur FC, the two other teams in the pool, separated in a draw (1-1). ASKO is last.
