CAF CL: Wydad Pick Crucial 3 Points Away From Home Against Petro

Wydad Casablanca won on the road to Petro Luanda via a 2-0 margin in game day four on Saturday night, in group A of the TotalEnergies CAF champions league.

Reigning, defending champions Wydad consolidate their leadership of group A within the competition thanks to the victory in Luanda which takes them to 9 points.

The first half was played in humid conditions and ended zero-all as fans had to wait until the second stanza for goals.

Arsène Zola opened scoring for Wydad one minute to the hour mark ( 59th minute) and while Petro searched for an equaliser, Bouly Junior Sambou made sure of all three points at the 90th minute.

Wydad ar sfirst place in group A ahead of JS Kabylie who beat Petro to second after their victory over Vita. JSK are now on 7 points, while Petro are on 4, and finally Vita Club, last with 3 points.
