CAF CL: Che Malone reserves surprise against Hilal

Cameroon’s rising star, Che Malone Fondoh has opined that he and his Cotonsport teammates are ready to stun Sudanese giants, Al Hilal on Friday.

The 23-year-old Cameroonian international went further to call on Cotonsport supporters to fill the 25,000 seater Roumde Adjia stadium.

‘We are playing at home and in front of our own supporters. We have to do all it takes to win the three points.

‘We still have five games and others have 4 left. We start with the game tomorrow as we would like to surprise Hilal. I am sure that they know, we are a great team in Africa,’ the erstwhile Union Sportif of Douala defender uttered.

Che Malone has gained loads of international experience, playing across different categories of the Cameroon men’s senior national teams, but at club level, the Hilal game will be only his second CAF inter-club game played.

The CHAN star added that his teammates have forgotten about the poor showing against Sundowns, whilst looking forward to the Hilal challenge.

‘When we started preparing for the second match, we forgot about the last game. We cannot remain on that. We learn when we lose.

‘We know about the weight of the game tomorrow because they are coming as favorites after winning against Ahly, Africa’s best team,’ Malone ended.

Che Malone has been a stardust for the Cottonites, leading them to a record extending 17th Elite One championship last season.

The latter has edged his way into the hearts of Cotonsport faithfuls as a cult hero and strong performances in CAF inter-club competitions will only enhance his reputation.
