CAF CL: Etoile – Hilal ends in dead rubber

Etoile Sportive du Sahel drew (1-1) on Tuesday evening against Sudanese side Hilal, on the fourth day of the group stage of the CAF champions League.

It was Pape Ndiaye who opened the scoring in the 45th minute, in the game which took place in Dar Essalam, Tanzania.

The Etoile Sahel were only able to save the day in added time thanks to Salah Barhoumi (90+2) thus snatching a draw against the Sudanese who they had beaten during the previous day in Rades (1-0).

In the other Group C match played earlier in Luanda, Esperance of Tunis and Petro Atlético ended goalless.

At the end of this day, Espérance de Tunis maintains its second place with 5 points behind Petro Atlético, leaders with 8 points, while Etoile du Sahel shares third position with its opponent of the day with 4 points each. .
