CAF CL: Hilal Touch Down On Cameroonian Soil Ahead Of Cotonsport Clash

29-time Sudanese league winners Al Hilal Oumdurman have arrived the Garoua international airport ahead of their match day 3 clash against Cotonsport in group B, of the TotalEnergies CAF champions league.

Coach Florent Ibenge and his boys arrived at 15:00 pm local time in humid conditions in Garoua which read 37 degrees.

Al Hilal Omdurman recorded their first victory in the Champions League by beating Al Ahly of Cairo 1-0 on Saturday February 18, 2023 at the Al Hilal stadium on match day 2.

Defeated one-nil by Mamelodi Sundowns on game day one, Al Hilal’s score card reads 3 points, 3 behind Mamelodi Sundowns who are on 6 points.

For Cotonsport, Hilal will be their second game having played a game less due to the postponment of match day one, courtesy of Ahly’s involvement in the Club world cup.

Cotonsport lost 3-1 in their opener against South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns, and the game against Hilal is a chance for redemption.

Cotonsport pits Hilal at the historic Roumde Adjia stadium on Friday February 24, at 1800 GMT.
