Elite One: Avion Holds Canon Back

At the Bepanda Annex stadium, Avion Academy of Nkam harvested their first point of this year’s Elite One against Canon of Yaounde.

The boys of coach David Ngambe equalized after Canon of Yaounde had taken the lead, and looked well on course for 3 points.

From a tie against Djiko FC, Canon knew the urgency needed and they put Avion Academy under constant pressure, but finally took the lead only at the 59th minute, courtesy last year’s MVP, Henri Paul Tchikeu.

Unfortunately, Canon could not keep the lead, as Avion’s Steve Meng found an in road in the back line, and equalized for the Nkam – based side.

Neither of the team’s have taken up in full flight, with all two still in search for a win after two games in group A.
