Known in the past as a fixture of stars, and a game of guile and skill, the lastest Canon against Union fixture on Sunday, simply did not match the hype and background of both sides
Another Day-5 classic fixture between Canon of Yaoundè and Union Sportive of Douala finished on a disappointing fruitless draw.
On the back a defeat and draw, both sides squared at the Ngoa Ekelle Stadium in a confrontation many anticipated to produce fireworks.
This was however not the case as Canon Sportif on a run of successive wins got held by Gazelle and lost Astre was unable to make difference at home.
The host created chances but were unabl convert as Joseph Atangana’s team seems to be dwindling. Union responded late in the final half but settled for nothing more of a point.
