Elite One: Fauve Azur Escapes Dragon’s Claws In Yaounde

Fauve Azur escaped the clutches of Dragon FC on match day three of the MTN Elite One Championship, as it ended all square at the Ngoa Ekelle stadium on Saturday, October 29, with prolly Fauve Azur, being the happier of both sides.

Coming from a narrow defeat to Fovu club on the previous match day, Dragon thrived for three points against Fauve Azure on match day 3, but the lads of coach Edjangue Stephane couldn’t completely solve the puzzle.

The misses and half chances meant Dragon FC, just like on match day 2 against Fovu, suffered another heartache, just that this time, a draw was what was obtainable and not a defeat.

The yaounde based outfit must start lurking around where they can get maximum points especially as they are lingering in the bottom half of pool B.

Fauve Azur meanwhile have drawn two and registered one victory which came against YAFOOT on match day one. The boys of coach Rene Essomba are placed mid – table in pool B, and could go higher on the log with a victory on match day four against Les Astres.

Dragon pits Yong Sports Academy who are winless in their last three encounters, at the Olembe Annex A on Wednesday November 2.
