Jerome Ngom Joins Belgian Side SK Beveren

Jérôme Ngom Mbekeli (24) has left Colombe of Dja and signed for a season and half with an option to extend at club side SK Beveren, in the Belgian second-tier.

After the CHAN ended, the wideman headed to Belgium where he has been for a couple of days before putting pen to paper.

Beveren announced the arrival of the Cameroonian international this Tuesday via its socials.

Ngom is credited with the assist for Vincent Aboubakar which got Cameroon a historic 1-0 victory against Brazil in the FIFA world cup.

The former Apejes player picked up a man of the match award in the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship after scoring the lone goal in Cameroon’s opener against Congo.

The latter has been on a Trailblazer since last season where he scored four goals and dished out 14 assists in the Elite One last season.

Beveren are second the the 12-team Belgian first division B as they look to gain promotion into the Belgian pro league.

Ngom could make his debut for his new side on February 3 as Beveren will be on the road against Jong Genk.

It is Ngom’s third club abroad after stints at San Diego Loyal, MSK Vyskov and Swoop Park.
