Jerome Onguene DEFEATS Hartberg

Salzburg sweeper, Jerome Onguene scored the winning goal (2-1) for RB Salzburg against Hartberg on match day 17 of the Austrian Bundesliga.

The Austrian Champions were headed for what looked a second straight defeat, after Hartberg took the lead lead as early as the 10th minute, through Noel Niemann.

Playing before their home crowd, the men of coach Matthias Jaissle came back in the second segment stronger.

Jerome Onguene, only making his return to the side after a little knock sustained from Salzburg’s Champions league clash against Lille, struck at the 86th minute to gift Salzburg the winner deep in the second half.

After an embarrassing defeat away to Austria Klagenfurt, the two late goals prevented Salzburg from what will have been an embarrassing back-to-back defeat.

The 23 year old and co will look to take the momentum to Wednesday’s Champions league cruncher, at home against Seville. A win will take them through to the knockout stages.
