Teungueth Crowned Senegalese Champions

Celebrations were underway even before the end of the 24th day of the Senegalese Ligue 1, as Teungueth FC have been crowned champions.

Victorious at Stade de Mbour on Saturday (2-1) and following Generation Foot’s draw on Sunday against AS Douanes (1-1), Teungueth FC officially won her first Senegalese première division championship.

The poor performance of Generation Foot away to AS Douanes on Sunday evening made the news official.

It turns out to be a very special coronation for the Rufisquois Club after the cancellation of the 2019-2020 league season.
After a gigantic rise surge to the top since its existence a decade ago, Teungueth FC have been utterly been enterprising.

The league win means second participation in the TotalEnergies champions League. Teungueth FC had created a sensation for her first participation by eliminating Raja Casablanca during the preliminary round before finishing 4th in a strong group but with the pride of having brought down Esperance Tunis (2-1). The first exploits but certainly not the last!
