Lea Siliki Scores In Borrowed Time, Estoril Defeat Gil Vincente

Midfeilder James Lea Siliki came off the bench to gift Estoril a 0-1 victory away to Gil Vincente on match day 9 of the Portuguese league.

The former Boro man made his way in at the 62nd minute, and completely repaid all his trainer’s trust when he knocked in at the 90+6 minute to break the hearts of home fans.

It was the 26-year-old’s second in 9 games in the Primeira Liga and it couldn’t come at a better time. The three points helped Estoril to 7th place on 15 points after 9 match days.

Up next for Estoril is a tough home game at the Estadio Antonio Coimbra against Sporting Braga on match day 10.

Siliki will be hoping that head coach Bruno Baltazar offers him more game time against Braga, as the Cameroon international still has hope for the upcoming World Cup, to don the jersey of the Indomitable Lions.
