Teenage sensation Varens Fokam joins Lille

Hours before the end of the winter transfer window, LOSC Lille has completed the signing of young Cameroonian gem, Ulrich Varens Fokam.

The player nurtured at the Sim’s academy in Bafoussam, played with Gazelle Football Academy in Garoua last December cup.

It was at the December cup that he caught the eye of the scouts of the French club, player amongst U18s.

After the tournament, Lille accelerated the procedure to secure the services of the lad before the end of this winter transfer window.

Ulrich Varen Fokam has undergone his medical examination in Cameroon.

He proceeded to sign his 5-year contract.

The big news in this transfer is that it is a rare case where a player other than that of the brasserie football school signs for a top French club at the end of the tournament.
