The junior lionesses are fresh off a 2-0 win against CAR in the Women’s U20 UNIFFAC zonal tourney opener, but to ensure the title, a victory against Congo is needed.

Forward, Akouala corroborated with coach Mbemba whilst keeping an eye on the main price if possible.
“We are a good football team. We did not come to be tourists. We came to play. May the best team win,” Akouala Grace opined.
“We are preparing in serenity. We feel no pressure, we will give our best” – she answered when asked about the team’s atmosphere.
Congo republic, just like Cameroon, lost some key players to the senior women’s national teams and other side affairs before the start of the competition.
Congo’s U20 women have made massive strides in recent times. They were knocked out on the road to the 2024 world cup by Egypt, that later collapsed to Cameroon in the 4th and final round.
Congo has the rest day advantage, but Cameroon are already into the competition with a registered win. The game comes up at 15:30 local time this Wednesday, February 14th.
