Colombe and Aigle to wait another week as cup final is postponed

Cameroon’s première cup competition has been postponed by a week.

The euphoria ahead of the Cameroon cup final initially penciled for Sunday September 22 was palpable, but Aigle and Colombe would have to wait for one more week before the last dance.

The Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, signed a press release on Saturday, September 21, postponing the event to September 29th.

The game mark the end of the sports season in Cameroon.

It will equally serve as an opportunity to present the trophies to the champions of the other sports disciplines.

Aigle and Colombe have been camping in the nation’s political capital (Yaounde) for a few days. Despite the postponement, both sets of fans remain mobilized.

Last year, Fovu clinched the title after a slender 1-0  victory over PWD of Bamenda.
