FECAFOOT boss Eto’o, aims at CAF excom after fallen short of presidency

Samuel Eto’o is aiming to become a member of the executive committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The announcement was made during the executive committee session of FECAFOOT held on November 15, 2024 at the CAF Center Excellence center in Mbankomo.

Having failed to run for the presidency of the Confederation of African Football, Samuel now wants to be part of the executive committee of the African football body.

This Friday, November 15, the president of the Cameroon Football Federation announced the submission of his candidacy during the EXCOM session of FECAFOOT in Mbankomo.

Samuel Eto’o brought together his executive committee for an ordinary working session that had been scheduled for a long time but postponed for multiple reasons.

After making his intentions clear, observers have started reminiscing some skeletons in Eto’o’s cupboard since his arrival at the head of FECAFOOT, which could be unfavorable to his course.

The latest is his six-month stadium suspension by FIFA, preventing him from attending the Indomitable Lions’ matches. At the local level, the championships have been halted for 8 months.
