Araina scores potential goal of the season to break Zanaco’s 11-match winless run against Nkana
Zanaco beat Nkana 1-0 thanks to 55th minute goal from fine over-head kick by Araina Lambert, from a move he started with a run, deep in his own half.
It was the Cameroonian’s fourth of the campaign as he maintains the status quo of being his team’s most lethal poacher.
Only just recovering from injury, Lambert Araina missed out on 9 days action before finally returning on game day 13 of the championship.
The result ended Zanaco’s 11-match winless run and you have to go back to Week 1 on August 17 to check that one out when The Bankers beat Indeni 2-0 away in Ndola.
Nkana drops from 6th to 7th while Zanaco rises one notch to the top of the bottom four relegation zone at number 15 on 13 points.
Nkana’s first trip to Lusaka with new coach Mwenya Chipepo was supposed to be an academic exercise. Sadly, they got bad marks at Zanaco on Wednesday.
Nkana travelled to the Zambian capital enjoying a four-match winning start under Chipepo.
