Wamba Leonel Receives POTM From FIFA President Gianni Infantino

Leonel Wamba Djouffo has been handed his player of the months of July and August award by FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

Gianni Infantino was on the stands to watch the Latvian League game pitting Spartaks Jurmala against Riga FC and gifted 19 year old Wamba his award before the game started.

The teenager then scored in his team’s one – all draw to take his tally up to 12 goals in 21 appearances.

This fine form coming after he had a difficult start to life with Spartaks Jurmala. Now, the 2019 U17 AFCON winner has literally been walking on water for a few weeks.

Wamba will look to keep his scoring cleat on when Spartaks travel to face FK Virsliga on Saturday Oct. 16.
