AFCON 2021: Tik Tok Unites Fans Via Poineer Partnership With CAF

Mobile video application, Tik Tok has brokered its first ever partnership deal with the Confederation of African Football three days to the kick-off of the 33rd AFCON edition in Cameroon.

The deal announced by CAF Online Thursday, January 06 2022 will see Tik Tok engage lovers of African football across globe by sharing pre and post match contents.

Tik Tok through this year-long sponsorship will become a home for the spirit and passion of the continent’s biggest football jamboree.

Brokered by AGON, between both parties, the deal cements Tik Tok’s position as a perfect platform for both men and women’s games with almost 273 billon hastags and 108 million viewers.

“We are truly delighted to have TikTok come on board as an official partner. Football content in Africa is in high demand and together with TikTok we are able to create and encourage the online community to engage in and create the type of content that will take both brands to new markets”, CAF Secretary General, Vérone Mosengo Omba Said.

“This partnership recognises CAF not just as a football body but our position as the single-biggest football entertainment producers in Africa, giving fans everywhere, world-class football experiences throughout the year”, he added.

Covid-19 Pandemic has prevented fans across the continent to commune together, the partnership serves as another opportunity to bring African football fans together online.
