AFCON 2021: Lions Train For Last Time On Eto’o’s Watch

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have completed their last training session prior to her AFCON opener against Burkina Faso on January 9.

Present at the Olembe Annex stadium was President Samuel Eto’o, who watched the boys for a third time since camp started on December 27.

Antonio Conceiçao and the lads looked set, with the full a chunk of the squad fit, and training after a Covid19 scare.

Andre Onana, fresh from negotiating his 5 – year deal with Inter, has rejoined the squad.

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon set the ball rolling for the 33rd edition of the AFCON on Sunday, against Burkina Faso.

Cameroon has taken on Burkina Faso 8 times and have had the better of the stallions 4 times, pulling a stalemate four times, and losing once.

Cameroon secured their place in the tournament following an impressive qualifying journey where they picked up 11 points from their six outings.

Off the back of an unbeaten qualifying campaign, the West Africans will be keen to follow that up with an impressive performance in the tournament proper.
