Cameroon Professional League Gets Recycled Leaders

Cameroon’s first-tier championship, show-named Elite One, will begin on March 12. The matches will be organized by the Transitional committee of Cameroon’s Professional Football league. The team was set up by the new executive bureau of FECAFOOT to relaunch local competitions which have been stopped for several months.

Despite all the ups and downs that surrounded the negotiations, General Semengue agreed to lead the project.

Among his collaborators, there are several well-known football figures, including Jean Paul Akono, former coach of the Indomitable Lions. Others Included are; Vice President – Andre Noel Essengue, Andre Marie Kuatche, Marthe Muaha, Felix Elouga and Abdoul Karimou and Secretary General, Paul Mebizo’o

Gen. Semengue had some surging words to say, at the ceremonial ground in Mont Febe. He reiterated that by this, “he promises his son (Samuel Eto’o) to rise to the challenge. The president of FECAFOOT on his part stressed on his promise to organize “one of the best championships in Africa”, while requesting the support of club presidents, some of whom were present in the hall. The other members appointed on February 17 have also taken up their duties.

The most urgent challenge is to finalize the schedule for the Elite One and Two championships in order to kick off, announced for March 12.
