CAF CL: ES Tunis Sails To Knockouts

Esperance Sportive of Tunis snatched her qualification to the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League by beating Botswana’s Jwaneng Galaxy 3-0, on match day 5 of group C.

Kingsley Eduwo opened the drew first blood at the 13th minute with a header before Anayo Iwuala doubled the lead at the 32nd minute.

Kingsley Eduwo landed thhe coup de grace at the 64th minute, completing his first double with the Tunisian side since joining in.

Courtesy the scoreline, Esperance consolidated their status as leaders of group C with 12 points, despite Belouizdad’s win against ES Sahel.

The other Tunisian reps. Etoile du Sahel remain 3rd with 3 points, while CR Belouizdad of Algeria 2nd, tied on 11 points with ES Tunis. Jwaneng Galagy are bottom with just one point recorded.
