Injured Njie Clinton Out For A Lengthy Spell

Turkish Super Lig side Sivasspor have put out a press release shortly before the game against Gaziantep FK which ended 2-1 in favor Sivasspor, that Njie Clinton will be absent for several weeks after suffering from a bad injury.

“Our player Clinton Njie was injured in the 84th minute in the round of 32 of the Turkey Cup against TECO Karacabey Belediye Spor, in Kayseri and had to leave the match.

“Examinations revealed a slight tear in the left upper back muscle. Our athlete’s treatment has begun,” the statement reads.

Having arrived at Sivasspor in the off season from Dynamo Moscow in Russia, Clinton Njie has already played 20 games with Sivasspor and scored 2 goals this season.

The Cameroonian international has had a turbulent last two seasons with club, and even worse with the indomitable Lions of Cameroon. Sivasspor will hope their winger recovers quickly so as the team are currently involved in a relegation battle, placed 16th in the 19-team table.
