Ferjani Sassi Joins Al Duhail From Zamalek

Carthage Eagle midfeilder Ferjani Sassi has signed a three year contract with Al Duhail SC as free agent.

Ferjani Sassi saw through his contract at Egyptian mainland club Zamalek. Zamalek reportedly couldn’t keep the midfeilder.

The White Knights could not extend 29 year old Sassi’s contract due to internal financial constraints at the club.

But the player’s interesting performances in recent years hereby attracted ambitious Al Duhail alongside other clubs like: Pyramids FC (Egypt), Al Hilal (Sudan), but Al Duhail seemingly wanted him more, and made their mark.

Sassi played his first international game with the senior national team of Tunisia on 8 June 2013, against Sierra Leone. It ended two – all, and he lasted the entire duration of the match.

Sassi was in Tunisia’s squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, scoring a penalty in Tunisia’s opening game against England.
